FOOD REVIEW: Nagoya Japanese Restaurant, Loganville GA

It had been a long time since we’d been to a Japanese hibachi restaurant. For those of you who are new to our planet or for some other reason have never ventured to such an establishment, you are in for a treat!

The style is somewhat different than most are generally accustomed to. Diners are seated around a large grill. The cook prepares the food there and usually there is much fanfare involved such as trickery with the cooking utensils and a good bit of humor involved. I would not be stepping out on a limb by saying that there is as much entertainment going on as there is cooking.

The meal comes with full courses – soup, salad, entrée of your choice and dessert (we were offered sherbet or cheesecake). Generally, the entrée is the only thing worthwhile and Nagoya was no exception. The chicken broth soup was practically void of flavor, the salad was simply lettuce and the cheesecake was hardly thawed. Other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?
