BEST SPOTS: Atlanta Haunted Houses

BEST SPOTS: Atlanta Haunted Houses

ATLANTA – Boooo! It’s the season for witches, gouls and goblins and the Where U Live team knows just where to find them. With a detailed evaluation of most of the Atlanta area haunted houses and, a little bit of, help from the Morning Team, we’ve come up with a list of the best Haunted Houses the metro area has to offer.

The Atlanta Zombie Apocalypse (AZA) is open on Thursday through Sunday from October 6 to the 31. The events website claims that this attraction is like “nothing ever seen or experienced before”.  They boast that going through the house will feel like being in a Hollywood movie or a real-life thrill.

Fast and free flu shots offered during drive-thru clinics

COVINGTON, Ga. -- For Newton and Rockdale residents, getting a flu shot this year will be as simple as rolling down a car window and rolling up your sleeve.

Health departments in both counties will host a two-day drive-thru flu shot clinic that will provide free vaccinations to the first 500 participants.

"Not only are we vaccinating the community from the seasonal flu, but we are using this as a great opportunity to exercise our ability to quickly and efficiently administer vaccinations to the public in the event of a widespread public health crisis, such as pandemic influenza," said Dr. Lloyd Hofer, district health director for the Gwinnett, Newton and Rockdale County Health Departments.

Drive-thru flu shot clinics will be:

* Newton County
Friday, Oct. 14, 11 a.m.

BEST SPOTS: Halloween Pop-Up Shops

BEST SPOTS: Halloween Pop-Up Shops

ATLANTA – Halloween pop-up shops, the first sign of excessive candy consumption, tons of food and some of our favorite clichés. And as it stands, ‘tis the season that niche' business owners hawk goblins, gouls and costumes that look similar to some of our favorite celebrities at stores in and around Atlanta.

Pop-up shops, with their intense decorations and marquees, aren’t a nuisance as much as they’re a wonder; they provide us with an outlet, yearly and almost on cue, to outfit ourselves fabulously for parties and the likes.
