Elks Aidmore in need of donations

CONYERS, Ga. -- This is a problem you can help fix: the closets are bare at Elks Aidmore.

Since 1977, this Conyers-based organization has helped children in crisis, providing foster care, counseling, food and shelter. But right now, there is not enough decent clothing for kids in need.

Abe Wilkinson, Elks Aidmore's executive director, shared his wish list for the children.

"We're hoping individuals who see this would be able to go through their closets and pick out ... our kids range from 4 years old up to 21 years old, both girls and boys."

You can donate clothing your children have outgrown. Churches can organize a clothing drive, or you can team up with neighbors to clean out your closets.

Remember that no stained or ripped clothes will be accepted; children take pride in their clothes as much as adults. Learn how to donate.

You can also sponsor a child's wish list for Christmas through Elks Aidmore -- there's a tremendous need there too.
