The Great Bull Run stampedes to Conyers | News
CONYERS, Ga. -- It's an international experience, one of those once in a lifetime trips to Space for the Running of the Bulls.
However this year you don't need a transcontinental flight to go running with the bulls. The Great Bull Run is coming to Conyers at the Georgia International Horse Park.
"We'll be doing the bull run in the main arena on the floor of the arena," organizer Rob Dickens said.
The bulls will be hauled in from Kentucky. It's a chance to grab life by the horns, but you've got to be fast as you sprint down a quarter-mile track with twenty-four 1,000-pound bulls hot on your heels. You'll have to sign a waiver and you'll have to wonder, "Is it safe?"
"No it's not safe and that's what draws people to it," Dickens said.
There will be safety precautions in place at the venue.
"We'll be constructing it with cattle fencing so that the bulls are contained but the people can climb up and over of necessary," Dickens said.
It adds up to an experience for raging daredevils who want to rage with the bulls.
"A huge all day massive fun party," Dickens said
The Great Bull Run is scheduled for October 19. Organizers will take the run on the road to a handful of other cities during the next year. The price to run ranges from $45 to $60, depending when you register.
