Rockdale Students Create Petition to Reconsider Winter Make-Up Days

A group of Rockdale students have started a petition to ask the Board of Education of Rockdale to reconsider its decision to take it's February Break away. This is the petition website: http://www.petitiononline.com/mod_perl/signed.cgi?break20 .

It has 347 signatures.

Also, students were informed last week if we miss the break due to a vacation it would be without penalty. Today, they found out the absences will count as unexcused.

Students are merely asking the county to reconsider its decision and allow us to have more public input then we did. Thank you for your time.

My 1st Time Being Snowed in

My 1st Time Being Snowed in

Conyers, GA--  Snowed in… for the first time!

For the past three days, we have been receiving some extreme winter weather in the south.  Not only was there heavy snowfall, but the roads were covered with ice and slush that made for some dangerous driving conditions.

Since I just moved here, I am unfamiliar with what is considered “normal” weather for this time of year.

Not only did I get a bit more work done, but I was quite happy wearing my jammies all day while I was sipping hot tea and sitting under a big, heavy quilt.

Check out these massive icicles that were on a tree in my front yard....Read the Article at MommyReporter.com
