ADOPT A PET: Meet Evan | Pets
DECATUR, Ga. - If you dream of coming home to a wet nose, wagging tail and tons of kisses (in addition to, perhaps, a half chewed shoe or overturned trashcan) adopt a puppy from your local pet shelter. According to the ASPCA, approximately 5 million to 7 million domesticated animals enter animal shelters nationwide, every year, and approximately 3 million to 4 million are euthanized. However, you can change those numbers but adopting a "companion" for yourself or your family. Pets are an investment but, in our opinion, an investment well worth the money.
Evan is a Welsh Corgi and Shepherd mix and he’s looking for a forever home. Evan came to the shelter when he was about six-months-old, as a stray. Now, he is almost three years old and the shelter thinks it’s about time for him to have a home of his own. Evan needs some training and the shelter says “he’s one of the most intelligent dogs to even strut the property of PAWS Atlanta”. Sometimes, Evan is temperamental however it’s nothing that obedience training can’t modify. She’s a beautiful dog and would make a great companion. He’s available at PAWS Atlanta for $175.00
If one should choose to adopt a pet from PAWS Atlanta, the adoption fee includes: vaccinations and de-worming, a veterinarian visit, a microchip and surgical sterilization. And, a list of the basic requirements for adoption can be found here. PAWS Atlanta is located at 5287 Covington Highway in Decatur.
