Half-price treats at Dairy Queen this weekend

Half-price treats at Dairy Queen this weekend

CONYERS, Ga. -- In honor of all the loyal patrons who kept the restaurant afloat during these tough times, the owner of the Dairy Queen in Conyers is holding a Customer Appreciation Day this weekend.

Dairy Queen guests will enjoy half-price treats all day on Saturday, Apr. 16.

"We thought we would do something different to help the Atlanta families out in this economy and enjoy a night out with the family," said Keish Momin, owner operator of the Conyers Dairy Queen.

Attendees will also get a chance to play Dunk the Mayor and Dunk the County Commissioner, participate in a banana split-eating contest, and enjoy other family-friend activities, such as face painting.

Customer Appreciation Day will take place at the Conyers Dairy Queen (1235 Dogwood Drive SW) only.

FOOD REVIEW: Don Tello’s Tex Mex Grill, Conyers GA

FOOD REVIEW: Don Tello’s Tex Mex Grill, Conyers GA

First and foremost, Don Tello’s Tex Mex Grill is BIG! They have a huge bar area packed with HDTVs, a very large covered outside patio and a huge dining room.

We were greeted and seated immediately and they had a fairly good lunch crowd going. I chose my perennial favorite for Mexican which is the Speedy Gonzales.

FOOD REVIEW: Nagoya Japanese Restaurant, Loganville GA

It had been a long time since we’d been to a Japanese hibachi restaurant. For those of you who are new to our planet or for some other reason have never ventured to such an establishment, you are in for a treat!

The style is somewhat different than most are generally accustomed to. Diners are seated around a large grill. The cook prepares the food there and usually there is much fanfare involved such as trickery with the cooking utensils and a good bit of humor involved.
